This policy explains what the Elect Damon Townsend campaign collects when you sign up, how we use it, and how to stop hearing from us.
What we collect
We collect only what you type into our signup form: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, mailing address, the ways you want to help, and any message you write. Our web server also records basic visit information such as the page requested and the general country of the request, which we use to understand how the site is being used.
How we use it
We use supporter information for campaign updates, volunteer coordination, yard sign requests, event invitations, and follow-up about this campaign. Contributions are reported to the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission as state law requires.
Text messaging
If you check the box agreeing to receive text messages and provide a phone number, we may send you campaign updates, get-out-the-vote reminders, and informational messages. Donations may be solicited. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP, and reply HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared by us with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties unless required by law. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
What we do not do
We do not sell supporter information. We do not rent or trade our supporter list. We do not share your information with other campaigns, committees, or commercial parties for their own marketing.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts.
- Use the unsubscribe link in any email to stop emails.
- Email us to ask what we have about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted.
How your information is kept
Supporter information is stored on servers the campaign controls. Access is limited to the candidate and campaign staff who need it. We keep records as long as the campaign needs them and as long as Washington State campaign finance rules require.
Terms
This website is provided as is for informational purposes about the campaign. By signing up you confirm that the phone number you provide is yours and that you are authorized to receive messages at it. If your number changes, please let us know so we do not message someone else by mistake.
